Three Pools Reflecting the Moon (Santan YinGyue)

Three Pools Reflecting the Moon (Santan YinGyue) Review

On the southern side of the lake is the man-made island of Three Pools Reflecting the Moon. Here you'll find walkways surrounding several large ponds, all connected by zigzagging bridges. Off the island's southern shore are three stone Ming Dynasty pagodas. During the Mid-Autumn Moon Festival, held in the middle of September, lanterns are lit in the pagodas, creating the three golden disks that give the island its name. Boats costing between Y35 and Y45 run between here and Solitary Hill Island.
