Emergencies in Beijing

The best place to head in a medical emergency is the Beijing United Family Health Center, which has 24-hour emergency services. Asia Emergency Assistance Center (AEA) has 24-hour emergency and pharmacy assistance. SOS is another international clinic with a good reputation; they also arrange Medivac.

Beijing has different numbers for each emergency service, though staff often don't speak English. If in doubt, call the U.S. embassy first: staff members are available 24 hours a day to help handle emergencies and facilitate communication with local agencies.
