Fodor's Review

This is one of Beijing's hottest contemporary Chinese restaurants, and we're not just talking about the chilies. Located in the upscale Sanlitun Village North, this glam Sichuan establishment marries the region's famous spicy dishes with slick service and a designer interior entirely at home amid the surrounding luxury boutiques. The region's fiery classics are elegantly prepared; the koushuiji (cold chicken appetizer dressed in chili oil), the mouth-numbing dandan

noodles, and the crisp stir-fried eel with chilli have garnered rave reviews. Unlike most Chinese restaurants, Transit serves fabulous cocktails and has an extensive, if pricey, wine list.
