Sheraton Beijing Dongcheng Hotel (Běijīng Jīnyú Xǐláidēng) Review

The crisp new Sheraton Dongcheng, with its cubic glass facade, great-value lunch deals, and spacious, clean, and up-to-date rooms, can feel a little out on a limb near the post-Beijing 2008 Olympic area. Thankfully, however, some decent restaurants (Yue does particularly good dim sum) and views of the architecturally impressive "Bird's Nest" (National Stadium) cushion the blow, and the guest rooms themselves are perfect cocoon-cum-sanctorums, with soothing colors and woods on show. Those here on business will relish the hotel's close proximity to the Beijing International Convention Center.
