Ming Dynasty City Wall Ruins Park (Míng chéngqiáng yízhǐ gôngyuán)

  • Park/Playground

Fodor's Review

This rebuilt section of Beijing's old inner-city wall is a nicely landscaped area with paths full of Chinese walking their dogs, flying kites, practicing martial arts, and playing with their children. It was made using original bricks that had been snatched decades earlier, after the city wall had been torn down. At the eastern end of the park is the grand Dongbianmen Watch Tower, home to the popular Red Gate Gallery.
