Private Kitchen No. 44

Private Kitchen No. 44 Review

This place is worth the risk of getting lost in the maze of alleyways in which it's located. Call ahead to order the signature dish called suantang yu, meaning fish in a sour tomato broth. Fermented tomatoes brought from western China are essential to achieve the bright tangency of this dish. The service is notoriously slow but sincere. You may find your patience increases with a cup of house-made rice wine.
