Fodor's Review:
This property was a gift to the nation as a sign of friendship from Hong Kong shipping magnate Y. K. Pao, who named it for his father. Located at the intersection of Gongti Beilu and the Third Ring Road, the Zhaolong is next door to the Pacific Century building, which houses a great Cantonese restaurant, De Luxe, and L'Isola, an Italian restaurant. The Bookworm, a popular expat coffee shop and restaurant, is a few blocks away. Its location within Sanlitun puts you close to the capital's nightlife. The back of the hotel now houses a youth hostel.
