This small, privately owned inn has two types of rooms: with and without windows. The crowd here is quite young -- mainly international backpackers and university students. It's an inexpensive place to stay located in Nan Luogu Xiang, a 700-year old hutong. This area is fast becoming one of the latest up-and-coming night spots in Beijing, with small coffee shops and good restaurants, including Fish Nation (which serves fish-and-chips). Dongtang Inn's coffee shop has built-in bookshelves stacked with English-language guidebooks, a television, and Internet service. Bikes are available for rental.
