Comptoirs de France Bakery (Fapài) Review
This small chain of contemporary French-managed patisseries is the go-to shop in Beijing for fine cakes and pies, and makes an especially decadent chocolate tart. A variety of other goodies are on offer: airy macaroons, flaky croissants, savory croquettes and quiches, as well as hot beverages. Beside the standard coffee options of Americano, cappuccino, and latte, Comptoirs has a choice of unusual hot chocolate flavors. In the Sichuan pepper-infused chocolate drink, peppercorns float in the brew, giving it a pleasantly spicy aroma.
