One of the first restaurants in the city to employ the techniques of "molecular gastronomy," Blu Lobster offers refreshing, Asian-inspired dishes. The lobster bisque is rich with coconut-curry flavors and the intense sweetness of fresh lobster. The spiced crab risotto is served with avocado ice cream and billowing layers of lemongrass foam. The desserts, such as mango and pineapple ravioli served with peppercorn ice cream, are revelatory. Although the sommelier is highly knowledgeable about the wines, service is generally a little rough around the edges.
