Fodor's Review:
This white monolith, built in the mid-1980s, symbolized a true take-off for China's tourism industry. Nowadays, the rooms and reliable service here attract many tour groups. Opposite the Beijing train station (westbound), the hotel is only a few minutes' ride from Tiananmen Square. Many great restaurants -- including Qin Tangfu, Paomo Guan, and Gui Gongfu -- are close by.
