Location is everything, as they say, and the historic setting, adjoining Puning Temple, and a pleasant courtyard places it high above the other options in the center of the city. It's true that the rooms have seen better days and the mattresses defy comfort, but the peal of early-morning bells and the multitude of hills and temples to explore mean you won't spend too much time here anyway.
