Shizi Lou (Shizilóu dàjiudiàn) Review
Near the Shanzi Road Market, this bustling restaurant is a great introduction to Huaiyang fare, one of the "four great traditions" of Chinese cuisine. Try the signature "lion's head" meatballs (shizitou), large and succulent orbs of pork stewed with vegetables in a clear soup, or the gut-bustingly oversized potstickers (guotie). If you're feeling brave, opt for a round of stinky tofu, malodorous for the uninitiated but mouthwateringly tasty.
