We had attended an underwhelming performance in Siem Reap (a dinner/dance show that catered to hundreds of tourists) and were looking for something more authentic while in Phnom Penh. It took us a while to locate the Sovanna Phum Art Association mostly because there isn't much information on their website (it's on their Facebook page instead: https://www.facebook.com/sovannaphum.art) The performance is in a small art association venue located 10-minute
away from the Royal Palace area by Tuk-Tuk and well worth the $3 to $5 ride. The show lasts about 40 minutes and costs $10. It is a mix of shadow puppet theatre, mask theatre, and classical dance. It was perfect. The audience was about 1/2 locals. Great show for kids and adults alike. I would go back without hesitation.
