The Sihanoukville coast is flanked by several islands (many untouristed and lightly populated by Khmer fishermen) accessible by boat. Koh Rong Samlem, Koh Tas, and Koh Russei are popular day-trip destinations for snorkeling and picnicking. Local guides can arrange overnight stays in rustic bungalows on some of these islands.
