Knai Bang Chatt Review

This isn't a hotel per se, but a collection of waterfront villas. You can rent one house, all four houses, or just a single room. A two-night minimum stay is required. Pay extra and have the chef provide a daily menu of your choice. You'll also have help arranging trips to a nearby island, scheduling a spiritual visit with monks, or setting up fishing excursions with locals. A permanent staff of 14 and the participation of a host of local venues mean that you can arrange anything from a massage to a tai chi class to a lecture on Cambodian history.

Quiet relaxing hotel with a great View

Our first time to Knai Bang Chatt is very enjoyable, my family and I picked Kep mostly because we wanted some time for beach and sun. We were debating between Veranda Nature resort and Knai Bang Chatt and choose the later because of highly suggest by our local agent (www.globaltravel-cambodia.com) and some good review. Knai Bang Chatt did not disappoint. Things weren't perfect, hence the 4 instead of 5, but on a relative basis, especially compared to some of the other lodging options in Kep, the Knai Bang Chatt is certainly a best small boutique hotel.

Our room was on the first floor of the blue pavillion, very well equipped, balcony with lovely sea views. The Sailing Club restaurant built onto the sea has incredible views and good food.

The Knai Bang Chatt is a suitable hotel for travelers with a bit of money that want to stay in a clean, safe, and relaxing environment. While it's not perfect, it would certainly qualify for 5 Star for Cambodia. With rates around $200/night during high season, we thought the Knai Bang Chatt was a solid deal.
