Amansara Review

The Amansara is so good it doesn't need to advertise or even post an English-language sign out front. This all-suites retreat is in what was once a guest villa of former King Norodom Sihanouk. Clearly the sleekest of Siem Reap's resorts, it does the minimalist black-and-white and earth-tone decor—something of a trend these days among the city's hotels—just a little better than the competition. Half the suites have private plunge pools; all suites share two resort pools, one for lap swimming. Visit the jasmine-scented spa for a private treatment, followed by a few moments in a private relaxation room. The resort has shuttle service to the temples in private black tuk-tuks and offers cultural tours of the area. Suites have CD players, but no TVs.
