Kampong Thom Ruins

Getting Here and Around

The ruins are a day trip by taxi from Siem Reap (two hours; $50) or Phnom Penh (three hours). The journey can be dusty and hot in the dry season and muddy and wet in the rainy season. You can catch a bus to the town of Kampong Thom from Siem Reap ($4) or Phnom Penh ($10), and arrange local transport via tuk-tuk or moto (about $20 for the full tour of the ruins).
