Brunei Sights

Royal Regalia Museum Review

This colorful exhibition contains a collection of the official and personal memorabilia and paraphernalia accumulated by both the current Sultan of Brunei and his late father. It includes the costumes and accessories used for royal state occasions such as coronations, as well as a selection of gifts received by the Sultan from his loyal subjects and from visiting foreign dignitaries. One floor is devoted to a recreation of the coronation day parade in 1968, including the massive gilded royal carriage used to transport the newly crowned monarch around the city streets.
