Georges Escoffier, a renowned chef and food writer during the late 18th century, would have been right at home with the menu here. The timeless dishes have been served on the boulevards of Paris for generations. Dubai's twentysomethings may balk at the staid surroundings and house piano playing modern classics, but the lack of neon lights and burnished steel shouldn't be taken as a sign of a jaded menu—wake up and taste the foie gras. This is certainly grand dining,
but the set menus are a surprisingly good value.
