Knowledge Village Review

This development, opened in 2003, is a self-contained community designed to promote high academic and research opportunities for the Gulf region. More than 350 learning institutions have set up facilities here, including India's Mahatma Gandhi University, Britain's Manchester Business School, and the University of Wollongong in Australia. They recognize the work of local students and provide cross-cultural programs in a variety of academic subjects. The complex also includes research-and-development organizations, "e-learning" companies, conference amenities, and residential districts with cafés and shops.
