Majeka House Review

This complex of bright white buildings nestled in gardens overflowing with roses, lavender, frangipani, and jasmine, is set a little improbably in a vaguely suburban corner of the Helderberg area. But what a prime corner it is! From the guesthouse, it's a mere 5–10 minute drive to several of the country's best restaurants and wine estates. Inside Majeka's tranquil walls, rooms are elegantly lavish with tones of silver and gold and modern chandeliers. The restaurant produces a fabulous breakfast—homemade yogurt and fresh baked goods just to start—as well as light lunches and lovely dinners. A spa, jacuzzi, sauna, and gym are all available and lovely outdoor spaces abound from the various pools to the loungers in the magical gardens. Friendly and competent service completes this very peaceful picture.
