You can't drive down the R44 between Somerset West and Stellenbosch without noticing the remarkable scarecrows at Mooiberge Farm Stall. They're riding bicycles, driving tractors, and working in the strawberry fields, where you can spend a morning picking the luscious red fruit. The strawberry season varies from one year to the next but usually begins in October and runs to February. You pay for what you pick, and you can also buy jams, dried fruit, and other refreshments
at the farm stall. Look for the interesting display of old farm implements at the side of the building.

Hi Emmaleigh, I would just like to make it very clear that Judith no longer works at The Farmers Kitchen and I would like to invite you back for a complimentary coffee and cake for two. We hope to see you soon! Kelly

One has to pay to use the toilet which is not close to the restuarant and it is in a filthy state. Most of the small menu was not available. Service was literally non existent and I had to get up from the table several times to find a waiter/or waiteress to take our order. I complained to the owner Judith who claims she had not had time to go shopping etc and smirked at me. The food arrived and it was raw and minus ingredients on our pizzas. From
the time we arrived to receiving our food it was 90 minutes later. We left and had to find another restuarant in Stellenbosch and thankfully was fabulous all round. Probably my worst experience in a restuarant ever!!!!
