Green Gables Country Inn Review
In the manor house that used to serve the mill, Green Gables is a good place to escape. It's a family-run affair and the Meyers are proud of their hospitality and food. The house was built in 1860 and is decorated with antiques and feels very much like an upmarket home. The self-catering unit is in a converted old barn with a freestanding Edwardian slipper bath, which is a great touch. Expect good linen, brass bedsteads, country-style decor, and friendly hosts. This family also runs the Miller's Pub and the Green Gables restaurant where all the locals hang out, which is always a good sign.
