Rhenish Complex Review
One of the most impressive restoration projects ever undertaken in South Africa, and a good example of what early Stellenbosch must have been like, this complex consists of an art center; the Leipoldt House, which melds elements of English and Cape architecture; and a two-story building that is typically English. The complex is just east of the Tourist Information Bureau on Market Street, on your left, facing a large lawn.
Also part of the complex is the old Cape Dutch Rhenish parsonage (1815), which is now the Toy and Miniature Museum. 021/887–9433. R15. Weekdays 8:30–5.
