Glen Carlou

Glen Carlou Review

What comes out of Glen Carlou is rather special. The Quartzstone chardonnay 2007 is exceptional, the Shiraz is noteworthy, and the Gravel Quarry Cabernet 2006 is making its mark. The cellar has undergone a major overhaul, and an art museum that displays contemporary art has been added. There's a Zen garden to relax in after you've stocked up on some seriously good wines, and you can always have a light lunch at the restaurant. The prawn and avocado salad is lovely in summer, while the slow-cooked springbok shanks are perfect when the rain is belting outside.
