Though the place is not exactly luxurious, the location is hard to beat. Book way ahead to secure the Caboose, which has its own bathroom and a private deck, or if you're on a really tight budget, there's a 16-bed dorm with a self-catering kitchen. The restaurant (¢-$) is almost always busy and serves the usual fish, steak, and burgers. You'll also find a good range of traditional South African dishes, such as bobotie (a dish of spicy ground meat with savory custard topping) and waterblommetjiebredie (water-flower stew)—don't knock it till you've tried it.
