On the road to Tsitsikamma, this magnificent 1,500-acre estate offers spacious suites that make you feel like you're staying in your own country home. This historic Cape Dutch homestead was once the home of a Russian émigré, Baron Peter Behr, back in the 1940s. Accommodations are in separate buildings and feature antique furnishings, book-filled shelves, handsome fireplaces, and private balconies. Many have staircases leading to charming children's rooms. The food in the restaurant is delicious, beautifully presented, and made from fresh, local ingredients.
