Set in the spacious grounds of a grand old home in Wierda Valley, in the business center of Sandton, Linger Longer has an air of gracious elegance. The wooden floors, colored walls, and striped curtains give this restaurant a Wedgewood-like quality. Though upscale, this restaurant has a warm atmosphere, and the hospitable staff and personal service of chef Walter Ulz attract local and international diners. The menu is varied and includes an array of seasonal specials.
Start with the prawn firecracker, followed by the Asian split duck or the lamb rack cooked with crushed chermoula, a North African spice mix. The delicious porcini ravioli is the best choice on the vegetarian main menu, and the trio of sorbets is a nice finale. There's also a good wine list.
