Pretoria Art Museum

Fodor's Review:

Despite its dull exterior, this gallery houses an impressive collection of South African art in constantly changing exhibitions. The collection includes works by South African masters, painter Jacob Hendrik Pierneef and the more contemporary Anton van Wouw, and such international heavyweights as Salvador Dalí and Pablo Picasso, collections of 17th-century Dutch art, and international graphic art. Guided tours are available for an extra R5. The museum also has a sculpture garden.

  • Cost: R5
  • Open: Tues. and Thurs.-Sun. 10-5, Wed. 10-8
