Fodor's Review:

The Apies River, which flows through Tshwane, originates in this 24-acre park with a game and bird sanctuary. The springs drew early humans to the area and was one of the reasons this river valley was originally chosen as the site for Pretoria. You can hike, swim, or picnic here while the kids enjoy the play area and miniature locomotive. There's also a restaurant.
