Back o' the Moon is a modern interpretation of an iconic 1950s bar in Sophiatown, a suburb destroyed during apartheid by forced removals. Vibey live entertainment every evening counters the clanging slot machines outside. The atmosphere is classy and the food good. It's closed Monday, and reservations are essential.
