Fodor's Review:

Although there are grander hotels in town, sheikhs and presidents have requested this small suburban guesthouse on Muckleneuk Hill, overlooking the city bowl. The house takes its name from the setting of Shakespeare's romantic comedy Twelfth Night, and the house and gardens feel as though they're part of an elaborate stage. Presiding over the array of French antiques and over-the-top Venetian light fixtures is vivacious owner Marietjie van der Walt. There's a dining room but no set menu; the butler and chef will discuss options with you each day and then shop just for you. Nothing is too much, which explains something of the lodge's appeal. If it's available, ask for the Katarina Suite, with its view of the Union Buildings. Horseback riding, golf, tennis, and hiking can also be arranged.
