Small buildings with Victorian-style wrought-iron trim make up this hotel spread over a large part of the Gold Reef City theme park. All rooms are furnished in Victorian period style, with claw-foot tubs and reproduction furniture. There's an in-house restaurant called Braney's. Since the entire hotel is within the theme park, it's safe to walk around at night—even across the highway on the pedestrian bridge to the nearby casino. Access to the theme park is free for hotel visitors. But by staying in the south, you're farther from most good restaurants than you would be staying in the north. You're relatively close to Soweto and downtown Johannesburg, however.
