Royal Hotel Review
This recently refurbished typical South African country hotel shares much of Ladysmith's historic past. The hotel was built in 1880, just 19 years before the town was attacked by the Boers during the war. Expect small rooms, although TVs and air-conditioning are standard features. The hotel serves a buffet for lunch and dinner at R100 a head and offers an à la carte menu on weekends.
