Marble-topped wrought-iron bistro tables, comfy wood chairs, multiple chandeliers, and other objects are all for sale as part of adjacent interiors shop T&CO. For this reason, and its proximity to the headquarters of a magazine publisher, regulars are mainly media and design folk who treat it as a meeting place and canteen. Food is fresh. The smell of freshly baked goods makes it very difficult to resist the large display of cakes and cookies. For more filling meals there's a small menu of salads, but it's the daily deli offering of three or four warm dishes that deserves the most attention. Specials are entirely seasonal and you can expect hearty fish chowder or Moroccan chicken tagine, along with a selection of wholesome sides like caramelized fennel, pomegranate, and feta salad or red onion, thyme, and pine-nut couscous.
