The Round House Restaurant
The Round House Restaurant Review
Rather than a lion or zebra, the trophy at this 18th-century Table Mountain–side hunting lodge is fine dining. Start with skate and foie gras terrine with pickled octopus on roasted brioche or gnocchi with braised rabbit before exploring the roasted catch of the day served with baby roasted potatoes, bacon, capers, and a lemon buerre noisette sauce. Although the Somerset Room offers sea views, it can be very noisy. The private room for up to eight guests may better suit big groups. Beware of the outstanding wine list: it can easily ratchet up the bill.
