Location, location, location: when it comes to the perfect position, this hotel is one of Cape Town's front-runners, perched right on the edge of the Atlantic Ocean. You may only be a five-minute walk from the V&A Waterfront, but it's easy to imagine that you're on a yacht out at sea. The hotel overlooks a private marina, which explains why you'll find some wealthy yacht owners swanning about. The rooms are spacious and pleasantly decorated in neutral blues and cream; be sure to ask for a sea-facing room. Make time to enjoy the infinity pool and a drink at Tobago's Restaurant and Terrace, where Cape Town's cool set gathers for drinks after work.
