Protea Hotel Victoria Junction Review

With funky art-deco decor, this hotel, adjacent to the Waterfront and De Waterkant, is popular with those looking for something different. Spacious, high-ceilinged loft rooms have large double beds on an upper level; you have to be fairly nimble to climb in. Standard rooms have ordinary knee-level beds but are still quite chic. The Set restaurant serves buffet breakfasts and is good for business lunches as it's quiet. The menu offers a great range of salads and something to satisfy most palettes. The bar always jumps at happy hour, especially with film and TV crews.
