Fodor's Review

Fancy taking a helicopter to the airport or lazing in a bubble bath while looking out floor-to-ceiling windows at sea and mountains? If this sounds like you, then opt for this luxurious hotel and spa. The only building between Camps Bay and Llandudno and bordering the Table Mountain National Park, it was built amid controversy just before the park's status was proclaimed. The hotel has spectacular views and an enormous indigenous garden that disappears up the mountain.

Each room is unique, decorated in either cool blues and whites to reflect the colors of the ocean or warmer tones to conjure up the lifestyle of Africa's explorers. A shuttle runs to the Waterfront every hour during the day. Children's programs are available in December. On-site restaurant Azure is excellent for its Cape fynbos (botanical) menu and Portuguese-inspired seafood dishes. Breakfasts at Azure are also notable (free-flowing sparkling wine and live oysters included in the breakfast buffet).

fabulous setting

Loved this hotel so much i went out to SA and got married there last year. Those who had travelled out from the UK where taken with the hotel and it's fantastic location. The rooms are wonderful and big - especially the seafacing split level rooms which are actually better than the suites! The mountain facing rooms have a wonderful view too. The service is at times eratic but the food is good. It's a wonderful place to have a sundowner too looking

out to sea. Highly recommend!
