Noordhoek Review
This popular beach community has stunning white sands that stretch all the way to Kommetjie along the aptly named Long Beach. The small bordering Noordhoek Farm Village has become a retreat for the arts-and-crafts community, with a couple of galleries and boutiques showcasing local work. Long Beach is very popular with surfers and runners, and you can walk all the way to Kommetjie. But don't walk alone or when the beach is deserted, as attacks are not uncommon. Horseback riding along the beach and through the fynbos-covered dunes is a memorable and highly worthwhile excursion.
