Fodor's Review

This museum has some excellent examples of rock art that will give you insight into the ancient Khoisan culture. The museum also has an interesting section on the fossil remains of prehistoric reptiles and other animals, and the Whale Well, where musical recitals are often held under suspended life-size casts of enormous marine mammals. Shark World thrills children with exhibits on the sharks that ply the oceans. The adjoining planetarium stages a variety of shows throughout

the week, some of which are specifically designed for children as young as five. International touring photography exhibits are often on display.
