Fodor's Review:

The old winery on this historic estate makes an elegant Cape Dutch home for the restaurant named after its original, feisty, and much-married 17th-century owner. At lunchtime you can sit on the oak-shaded terrace and enjoy sweeping mountain views. A global menu with Cape influences includes Cape West Coast mussels in a Thai curry broth and lamb with potatoes gratin, snow peas, olives, and slow-roasted tomatoes. The tasting menu is recommended for serious foodies, and the Sunday lunch buffet with jazz quartet is the best the city has to offer.
