  • 1. Café des Arts

    $$$$ | Cote d'Or

Probably Praslin's best restaurant, Café des Arts is a funky, salmon- and aqua-toned haven of divine cuisine, located right on Cote d'Or, one of Seychelles' most beautiful beaches. The food here has a great reputation, meeting the fussiest fine diner's expectations. The octopus gratin with lobster and the tuna carpaccio with a caper, garlic, and olive oil dip are highly recommended. Save room for the desserts, which are fabulously decadent. The cheesy music is forgiven by the excellent and incredibly friendly service. Lunch consists of a lighter menu, served on the wooden deck set right on the beach. A new rooftop deck area is also a lovely place for a cocktail.

  • 2. Zez

    $$$$ | Petite Anse

Enjoying spectacular ocean- and sunset views from its hillside perch above Petite Anse beach, the Four Season's fine-dining venue Zez is a romantic dinner venue serving perfectly executed international cuisine. Set the tone for a gorgeous meal with starters like the warm lobster and artichoke salad tossed in a sherry vinaigrette, or foie gras with apple tarte tatin. The chef's skills come out in dishes like the crab fettucine, a perfectly balanced dish of homemade pasta, crispy soft-shelled crab, fresh chili, parsley, and lemon. If you're after something more substantial, the lobster risotto or lamb fillet will satisfy. An excellent if pricey wine list, and great service accompany the meal. Elegant dark-wood interiors and romantic lighting allow the stunning view to take center stage.

  • 3. Beach Bar & Grill

    $$$$ | Anse Kerlan

Serving fabulous Creole-inspired food in a gorgeous setting atop a small rocky outcrop between Grande and Petite Anse Kerlan, Constance Lemuria's elegant beach restaurant is well worth a visit for lunch or dinner. Lunch is more Creole-influenced, as seen in dishes like the whitefish ceviche marinated with lemongrass oil and served on a bed of dried coconut, and the whole grilled reef fish in a piquant Creole sauce. Dinner options include more international favorites like grilled rib eye or pork ribs. Enjoy the sea breezes that cross from bay to bay, and bird's-eye views of the small reef sharks that sometimes ply the granite boulders below. Nonguests should call ahead to make a reservation.

  • 4. Kannel Restaurant

    $$$$ | Petite Anse

Gleaming warm wooden tones and screens of metal cutout flowers adorn this elegant yet casual pool-side restaurant, which serves lunch and dinner daily. Lunch menus focus on lighter international fare, like excellent salads, pastas, seafood dishes, and wood-oven baked pizzas. Dinners flaunt the chef's Creole and international skills, with exquisite renditions of dishes such as a grilled octopus salad, Singapore style noodles, and heavenly curries served with local chutneys, such as the Creole fish curry. • 5. Seahorse Restaurant

    $$$$ | Anse Kerlan

The Constance Lemuria's fine-dining restaurant focuses on a compact and extremely well-executed menu of Creole and international dishes, such as slow-cooked red snapper with a breadfruit puree and truffle oil and braised New Zealand lamb shoulder. "Healthy" dishes, like scallops carpaccio with an almond crumble, are indicated on the menu and are fresh and delicious. Enjoying garden views over the 11th green of the resort's award-winning championship golf course, the ambience is warm romantic with its dark wood tones, candlelight, and open-air breezes.
