By Train
The Desert Express travels between Windhoek, the capital of Namibia and Swakopmund, the country's premier coastal resort. The train departs from Windhoek on Tuesday and Friday and from Swakopmund on Wednesday and Saturday. Longer journeys to Etosha and Lüderitz are also available.
