The stunning former French-colonial town hall holds this smartly arranged collection of items from everyday and ritual life in and around the Essaouira area. Ground-floor displays of musical instruments distinguish between Gnaoua and Sufi sects; upstairs, exhibits survey regional carpet styles, wood-carving techniques and motifs, and Muslim, Jewish, and rural Ishelhin Berber dress.
