Heure Bleue Palais Review
On paper at least, this Relais & Chateaux property is Essaouira's most prestigious lodging, but it doesn't have a lot of Moroccan style. Fans of Marrakesh's Villa des Orangers will find a similar colonial charm in the cream, granite, and dark-wood decor, which, to Moroccans, represents the "English" style. The facilities are second to none—there are few other places in Essaouira where for evening entertainment one can choose between an in-house cinema and a heated rooftop swimming pool with the some of the best views in town. To top it all, the kitchen is overseen by an expert French chef who brings together a blend of earth and sea in the sumptuous Moroccan-French menu.
