Riad El-Aissi Review

Don't be deceived by the riad tag—there's no overdone decor here; rather, you'll find a lot of country-style charm and a wonderful atmosphere amid the 72 acres of this Moroccan-run fruit farm just outside Taroudant. Host Latifa has turned her family homestead into a collection of spacious but spare rooms, with interconnecting patios and terraces. There are suites with as many as five beds, which offer families a very economical lodging alternative. The kitchen turns out top-quality food with fresh produce, much of it from surrounding fields, and there's a spectacular swimming pool with views to the Atlas Mountains. Children are well catered to, and adults will simply marvel at the tranquillity. Bikes are available for guests, and there are cooking classes upon request.
