Grande Mosquée (Great Mosque)
Grande Mosquée (Great Mosque) Review
From the Méchouar, take the Rue Bain Maure. Follow it as it winds through neighborhood markets, and you'll emerge on a main medina street at a slim minaret (visible from the Méchouar). Cross the street and turn right along the arcade; then follow the cemetery walls around to the Grande Mosquée —unusual in Morocco for its sub-Saharan–style minaret, with sticks poking out from all sides that make it look like someone forgot to take out the scaffolding after it was completed.
