Ammeln Valley Review
A walk in the Ammeln Valley might start at the village of Oumesmat, where for once the ubiquitous Maison Berbère is worth a trip. Here the gentle, blind Si Abdessalem will take you through his traditional Anti-Atlas home, introducing you to domestic implements, and with agility will cloak women visitors in the local gold-laminated black wrap, the tamelheft. Express your appreciation for the tour by tipping generously. From Oumesmat you can follow paths to the neighboring villages. Taghdicte makes a good base for ambitious Anti-Atlas climbers.
